The HEAD version over at github is now a beta release of Swiftfire 1.3.0 that includes a comment system.
When a domain needs a facility to handle visitor comments it can now use the build-in comment system provided by Swiftfire.
The HEAD version also has “demo” domain that can be used to see just how the comment system works. The documentation for it is lagging and will be added in the coming weeks.
But the comment system was maybe not the most significant feature that was added. In order to add the comment system we had to implement a control structure based on the existing functions to build HTML pages.
It is now possible to enhance HTML pages with ‘if-else’, ‘for’ and ‘cached’. Again, for examples see the demo account included in the HEAD version over on github.
Added installation of Swift 5 runtime
